I have created a poster advertising West Cheshire College. Unlike most, who might have used Photoshop to create their posters, my own inability to use it competently & personal preference towards it, I used Microsoft Word. Using only my phone, I took several pictures of my peers & sent them to my tutor via an email. However, for this purpose, I required Wi-Fi, which was unavailable at the time, & was forced to wait until after I’d left the campus to send them.
Once I’d managed to send the pictures, I was then able to use them to create the poster, as well as the college’s own banner copied from the internet. I also wrote slogans for the advertisement on WordPress which I then imported & edited to into a shape & colour similar to those of previous posters.
I’m quite satisfied with my work; despite being unable to start the work until much later, due in large part to other college-related projects that I was required to work on simultaneously, the production of the poster went quite smoothly & the result was simple & direct but, by no means, obnoxious. I think, in hindsight, it would have been easier to have prioritised this work over the others as it took relatively little time to complete.
